Recommend an IP + NVR CCTV

For the externals you would be better off getting bullet with built in infra red leds rather than domes. Unless there is a lot of ambient light, regular dome cameras will struggle at night. You can buy domes with built in IRs , but they tend to suffer with lens flare at night.

Recommend an IP + NVR CCTV

Really? 4tb on a home system? Why not just get a 1tb recorder and have it ticking over on 6fps and banging into real time using motion detection? If the op wants 25fps 24/7 then he can just stick a couple of extra hdd's into it.

CCTV Recommendations - IP or Coax etc

Anything could be hacked but why bother? The op could still be hacked if he only used an analogue system and the dvr was connected to the internet for mobile app viewing. Fyi Lag would only come into play when you are viewing live images , and even then mostly on ptz's. On playback it is...

    charging battery

This little puppy will happily charge your SMALL lead acid all day from a car battery whether the engines running or not. Small gel cells are typically used in alarm panels and are designed for LOW charge and discharge.Believe me if you try to stick more than 1 amp into it, you will make it go...

    charging battery

With small to medium gel cells you do not want to push more than 1/2 amp into them ever, as they cannot take the current like a wet battery can. Even a car battery charger will damage it. Invest in a proper gel cell charger from cpc etc, they're not expensive...

Woodburner installation - am I being unreasonable about scaffolding cost?

Had my (Hetas approved) stove fitted two yrs ago. First guy who came out quoted scaffolding and a load of unnecessary building work. Second lot were much better at informing us, supplied a superior stove and installed the liner in less than an hour with ladders at a better price. I'd go an get...

Using jigsaw, planer and impact drill?

Use finer tooth blades in the jigsaw They are less likely to rip the wood and are far safer if you have a slip. My impact driver is my go to tool these days and the combination drill is used mainly for drilling . It takes a bit of practice, but you should be able to use it for just about any...

Our rep used to book out the mess hall for a morning in March as he knew it was coming up to the end of our financial year (government organisation ) We either had to use it or lose it, so we would buy all the latest gadgets stocking up the labs..

Unquestionably the best aeroplane of ww2

Actually iirc the Mustang was an all British design and it was only when they re-engined it with the Rolls Royce/Packard Merlin did it actually start to perform as it should have done. Incidentily the Merlin was used in the Hurricane, Spitfire, Lancaster and Mosquito... Pesonally...
