    The cistern in use at the mo is a side entry and as the concealed units are slightly smaller there will be room to fit a side entry if that is the type supplied, but all the better if it is a bottom entry one.

    Why not build in the unit yourself and fit the concealed cistern that way you can put a flat face to the alcove and have a nice top which will be a handy feature for the nick nacks of life. if yo get a pneumatic operation flush then the button can go anywhere you decide

    If you ca get the same size and fixings as the one you have then yes you can just change the pan. It may be just as cost effective to purchase a complete close coupled and have the internal s as either spares or replace them so you know that they are all in working order for a long time

    A fine toothed jigsaw will go through and you should not have too many chips down the cut, if you have a jigsaw that has a variable speed setting the medium is best or the swarf will amalgamate behind the cutter.
