Hi, had a boiler installed with low loss header but I think it is plumbed incorrectly. When either zone is on radiators are hot however, when both zones are on, zone 2 radiators are much colder. Here is plumbing diagram Shouldn't the flow pipes be at the top and return pipes at the bottom?

I have an old Cast iron Oil boiler, which digital programmable thermostat is best suited for it? I read that TPI controlled stats which seems the norm are not good for non condensing / modulating boilers, is this correct? The only digital thermostat I found that can switch tpi off is danfoss.
