    Pyronix Deltabell-WE using a 12v PSU

Doh! Now you put it like that it makes perfect sense. I’d forgotten that mine is really meant to go outside.

    Pyronix Deltabell-WE using a 12v PSU

Would someone mind confirming via Pyronix that the old one definitely needs battery as well if you use the power supply. Seems an odd way to build it?

Install sequence texecom elite external sounder

Here's what I would do. Set the panel up on a desk with a mains cable and it's main battery (just as it would be in situ) and leave all the jumpers in place for the detectors (so they are not used) Then take a short piece of 6 core and set up the bell box exactly as it should be when it's in...

    Pyronix Deltabell-WE using a 12v PSU

Many thanks for the reply. A battery is just under £20 but there are two of them. It’s not worth £40 every time just for an internal sounder. If I get round to it I may try replacing the batteries with a 3v power supply.

    workshop power

Thanks Mapj1, just the information I needed. The way my house is wired, I know I have two seperate ring mains that I could potentially take spurs from. Using one for the pond and low voltage lighting and the other for my workshop. however I really would like something neater than sticking...

    workshop power

I'm afraid I have to ask the knowlegable folk here to cover the familiar topic of outside electrics. I have searched on sheds outside ect already I have noted BAS's comments I have considered part P I considered burying the cable to the right depth I considered the voltage drop I have...
