Hi, Is there anyone who can help with info regarding fitting some Delonghi flat panel radiators I purchased a couple of weeks ago? I have phoned the retailers and emailed the manufacturers to get more detailed information but no one has been able to help so far! Is there anyone out there who...

    Order of works

Thanks for replies. Pinenot The architect/SE has not done the calculations for either of the openings yet (the existing back of house to be completely opened and the opening for the bi fold doors on extension) I just assumed they would be steels as that's what most people have mentioned in...

    Order of works

Hi there, Can anyone tell me the order of works when building a single storey extension. And which of these builders is right (if any, as it may depend on each builders personal preference as I haven't got a clue!). Builder1 (B1) says it's ok to use a lintel on a 4.8ish metre opening and...

    roofing question

He is an SE / architect, he says. When I ask him to make changes he alters other things too that I don't want altered. If he explained that changing this will affect that before he made a change I could let him know if I want to go ahead with the change. I have been trying to get my plans...

    roofing question

Thanks for all the help and advice but it's leading on to more questions! (if you don't mind) :?: If that part of my plan is already passed (the steels for supporting the dome), can I just ask the BC man if they can be changed to smaller steels and the paired timber joists that you have...

    roofing question

Hi Tony1851, I think I may have done it. I took pictures of the plans as the PDF file wouldn't download for me. The pictures are a bit blurred but hopefully good enough to get the general idea.

Thanks for reply, Would you say then about a foot is enough. The skylight (dome) is 2.4mx1.2m and the architect has indicated steels in the drawings.

    roofing question

Hi all, I am having a single storey, flat roof extension with a skylight. I was planning on having the skylight positioned as close to the existing back wall as possible, and possibly resting on the steel that will support the opening leading into the new extension. One of the builders said...

    RE: Info on new rules

Thanks Tony for reply. I thought the whole idea of permitted development was that the neighbours couldn't object? Is it part of the new changes that the neighbours now have this opportunity?

    RE: Info on new rules

Can you tell me if I build an extension of 5m (due to new permitted development rule) instead of a 4m one that I have permission to build, would I be likely to get a completion cert or could they make me knock it down and how likely would that be? Thanks
