    Drilling through a solid wall

Hi, I need to install some air vents in a cellar. However the internal supporting wall is 19" thick, I'm assuming so will be the outer walls. What would be the best way of drilling though this wall? Would a core drill do the job?

    What floorboards to use?

Hi, I'm in the process of replacing a chipboard floor which in some parts had suffered from damp due to a cellar below. This is in a property which will be a commercial unit. The existing floor is chipboard 8X2 18mm. Would this be adequate or am I better of replacing with plywood or something...

    Damp Problem

It may not fit as the vent looks to have a flush fit for the air brick. Is this the exact same vent as the ones in your links? http://m.screwfix.com/p/telescopic-underfloor-vent/12025

    Damp Cellar

Tanking costs are quite high. As a experiment I put some damp proof membrane on the walls that are directly underground, this has resulted in the floor starting to dry out strangely enough. Would be grateful for any advice. What's the best thing to spray on timber joists?
