Built extension 3 years ago that was all approved, but never been signed off!

I know its a classic, but its true, the guy was such a ghost in the whole project he was just out of sight out of mind. And I also cannot find his contact details, so thats why I wondered would another BI take it on?

Hmm i cant remember for certain but i think probably when the roof was going on, before all interier work and exteral waste work was completed.

Built extension 3 years ago that was all approved, but never been signed off!

Due to various reasons, work stopped and started and it took a long time to get to pretty much finished, but has not been signed off by the building regulators. The main reason for this (and its not really an excuse I know!) but he never really seemed interested, I'd call him and he would say...

have I just been breaking up asbestos boards unknowningly?

I'd done a few then thought it best to find out and it seems as its a 1930's house it was probably they were. I just assumed (hoped!) that as I was out up on the roof outside, they were dampened and there were only about 10 (30 x 60 cm) boards to remove, I'd be at a minimal risk. I read up...

have I just been breaking up asbestos boards unknowningly?

I also removed what I think were Asbestos Sofit boards and an old shed roof from my 1930's house and garden shed. My pop tells me its probably mixed Asbestolux cement boards and it'll have a low percentage. I didn't really have must protection, I was outdoors though, I'm pretty sure I...

    Next Door neighbours tree

I have a similar issue with an Oak tree at the end of my garden, had a few surgeons round, each one said something different regarding what to do, but I think the most intelligent and honest one said it would be best to wait until the autumn when the tree will be dormant and you aren't...

Help with new bathroom soil pipe placment and layout

No of course not, it would run around underground and hit the existing pipe halfway up the side of the house, and I would add the inspection chamber there.

Help with new bathroom soil pipe placment and layout

Help with new bathroom soil pipe placment and layout

MY concern is not what the Building Reg guys says, rather can it be set like that and not cause issues ie blockages etc, are the turns going to be ok?

Help with new bathroom soil pipe placment and layout

Well, the idiot architect stuck a Saniflow in the corner of the room and had the pipe going through the walls and decided to arrange the bathroom how he wanted rather then ask me. The design has changed slightly to the original drawings, but my BC guy has always said, as long as it doesn't...

Help with new bathroom soil pipe placment and layout

Hi everyone, I wonder if I could pick some brains please, I've had an extension and added a 2nd bathroom upstairs, but the soil pipe and its route to the sewer has caused my builder a problem. Facing the back of the house, I want the pipe to run down the back from the back of the loo, down...
