    cosmetic, new piping above the tiles could have ran from the old radiator was to where the new radiator will be, about 300mm of pipe running along the floor would spoil the look of the wifes tiles ...silly really but i can't go back now! :roll:

    ok no push-fit connectors! as i've never soldered before i better use compression, pipes will be insulated like the existing pipework and i'll use ptfe tape at the joints also there is already joints underground albeit soldered near the radiator so plumbers do make joins underground!

    thank gigz for your posts you picked up on the fact that i need to make connections and what is the best method which you told me as for denso tape apparently it melts with heat, great advice that is plumbers :lol:

    "You'll be better off buying a long roll of equator pipe or similar" being plastic it will not corrode is that the reason i'd be better off thats not my main worry "leaks" thats my worry but i suppose i'll see wet grout around the tiles so what the hell i'll precede

    well thanks for the advice i'm going to precede with the pushfit connectors but i'm also going to put a waterproof tape over the joints fill it then say a couple of hail marys that should do the trick thanks

    the pipe needs to be protected with that hemp type stuff is that like insulation also i can't do a clean line of copper i have to join the pipes somewhere i assume that theres joins underground is'nt there?

    Hi' i'm fitting a towel warmer with the intension of using copper pushfit connectors which will be under a concrete floor when filled i heard that you should not use push-fittings under ground as they might leak eventually. is there any truth in this? there will be four connectors alltogether...

    ok sorry, i insalled a halogen shower light above the shower in the bathroom to power this light i run a cable from the ceiling rose in the centre of the bathroom to the new light, so now two lights are connected to the same switch and are connected from the same terminal blocks

    Hi. i did this in my bathroom and i'm wondering if it ok.i added a extra light by runing a cable from the box on the ceiling to my shower (it is a shower light)so when i switch on the light both lights come on.just wondering if its safe that's all????
