2 Shower Pumps on same Feed?

I would install just one pump as suggested but there is no room in airing cupboard so was planning to stick one in loft but turns out my CW tank is fitted only 15cm off attic floor which doesn't provide enough head to activate pump. Stuart Turner said there wouldn't be enough flow to activate...

2 Shower Pumps on same Feed?

Hi, I am in the process on fitting a Aqualisa Visage Digital Shower to my main bathroom. I have a gravity fed vented system so have gone for version with with pump built-in. I am in the process of fitting a surrey flange to cylinder to have a dedicated air free HW feed to processor/pump...

    Shower Pump Advice

Damn it. Spoken to Stuart Turner and all their pumps require a minimum of a 0.5m drop to pump to ensure sufficient supply. I have no options to raise up CW storage tank as the pitch of the roof means the roof is low and there is no space to raise up tank higher. I could fit a shelf in the...

    Shower Pump Advice

Hi, thanks for comments. I am hoping to install everything correctly hence coming here for advice. So hopefully I won't need to worry about having done anything wrong should I get any issues. So I think I will stick with the Stuart Turner pump as this is what most seem to recommend. I think I...

    Shower Pump Advice

Thanks for the advice. I think I play it safe and go for a negative head pump. What is meant by limited duty? I have a wife who likes to spend15 mins in shower in morning. I normally follow at some point with a quick in and out. I have too young boys who mainly bath in evening at moment but...

    Shower Pump Advice

Hi, I am looking for some advice on which type of pump I should fit to improve the flow to the showers in my house. I am in the position where I am planning to completely refit both bathrooms over the rest of this year so all options are on the table as I don't need to worry about using...

Hiding Pipework in Wall for new Towel Rad

Hi I am currently redoing my downstairs WC and as part of this want to fit a towel radiator. I absolutely detest surface mounted pipework and the current pipework comes out the wall to the side of the wall the existing and replacement towel rad will be mounted on. It then converts from...

    Fitting Shower Pump

Hi, I am looking to fit a shower pump to my existing gravity feed system. I have a 50 Gallon Tank in the Loft & 117ltr Cylinder. Which from what I have read so far seems to be sufficient to cope with a adding a pump. At first I want to just connect the new shower pump to the en suite...

    Thermostat Wiring! Help!

T8 only seemed to hold the CH On from the timer. And the Live to the Room Stat. Having removed the room stat wiring that left just the timer CH on on T8 & Valve Brown/White wire on T7. Instead of creating a link from T8 to T7 I simply moved the CH on wire to T7. All seems to be working

    Thermostat Wiring! Help!

Thanks for the help guys. I managed to borrow a multimeter off a friend so have confirmed the Yellow wire on T7 definitely the Switched Live comes from the Room Stat. One of the Red Wires on T8 is also from the Room Stat and 1 of the Blue wires on T6 is the Neutral. So I can remove the...

    Thermostat Wiring! Help!

I agree but I don't have a multimeter and for this one of job I was hoping there was a way to determine this looking at the wiring rather than buy one. As two advisors seem to agree its most likely T7 and any damage is unlikely I will give it a try. If it fails I'll put it all back and...

    Thermostat Wiring! Help!

Oh good. Looks like you both now agree it is most likely connector 7. So if I pull the yellow wire from connector 7 and establish which red & blue wire come from the same flex. I just need to link connector 7 with the red terminal and remove the blue wire. IF WE ARE WRONG ABOUT CONNECTOR 7...

    Thermostat Wiring! Help!

Thanks jackthom. Basically as long as I can find which connector the Switched Live (Yellow) from the thermostat connects to in the junction box, I can then identify the associated Live (Red) and create a permanent link between the connectors at the junction box bypassing the thermostat and...
