it's old cu with wire fuses i changed some of them to be switches (MCB?) not sure about rcd but i don't think so.

yes that's helpful, thank you. we are not replacing any doors at all, one door at the foot of the stairs(loft) which even that the architect said doesn't need to be fire door. i guess that's why we need the smoke alarms everywhere!
