    Cheers for your reply. The job is completed now. Reason for the coving was that the tiling in the bath/shower area (to ceiling) had left a decent amount of gap at the top to hide due to the slanted and uneven ceiling. Couldn't just cove the area of tiles so did throughout the bathroom...

    as above a decent brush like Purdy is the way to go run some folded sandpaper down the corner a few times to give you a clean line to work with. Frog tape is also an option if you aren't confident. Good luck

    Nice one thanks - I had a look and all wiring seems ok within the box. If the the mic is damaged due to water ingress I'm not going to mess around with it trying to find a new one. (The neighbours generally aren't very good at reimbursing for improvements) Thanks for your help

    Thanks again for your reply. Yes it's a block of 6 flats and all other neighbours are on the same system. I spoke with one this morning who said her mic doesn't work either. Reckon it's worth a try to open the box at the front door to see if there's anything obviously loose or broken...
