Nope its not sealed internally I went and bought unibond translucent bathroom sealent. Can/should i go ahead and attempt to seal the exterior of the glass where it meets the metal trim? (where the water leaks out from)

i turned off the stop tap and the kitchen tap doesnt let any water run but the downstairs bathroom which is mains connected still has a wee little dribble running thru the tap. does this mean the washer is broken?
