Thanks again, ree. The holes under the concrete slab can't be inspected further as it's a solid floor with terracotta tiles in the extension. I guess I just need to get the exterior area around it dry and get the holes filled. I'm a bit rubbish at the terminology - what's a high yard corner...

These are the holes I've found under the extension. It's near the corner where it attaches to the main building. The other side of this wall is a solid concrete floor covered with terracotta tiles. There isn't damp in the extension but there is in the dining room (nearest room in the main house).

This is looking down towards the bit that needs a kick-out.

The damp can be seen from the floor and has spread, plus another patch at the first shelf. It's not anywhere higher on the wall.
