Two new radiators off pair of existing 10mm plastic tails

As we suspected then. We are having a plumber round tomorrow to have a look and quote for a proper job. Thanks to all for your constructive help.

Two new radiators off pair of existing 10mm plastic tails

So the consensus is then that changing the 10mm to 15mm will not make any difference??

Two new radiators off pair of existing 10mm plastic tails

It's a relatively new build and it appears all the pipes are hidden in the walls. I don't know how we could find them but even if we could the position of the new room would make it very difficult to get to the new rads wherever they. I appreciate that may be what we have to do but thought it...

Two new radiators off pair of existing 10mm plastic tails

As you may suspect unfortunately it's not that simple. If we can't get to the main 22mm flow and return what would be "getting it done right"? Thanks.

Two new radiators off pair of existing 10mm plastic tails

Original Rad is 0.8kw. Try closing all rads but the furthest one of the new two never gets warm.

Two new radiators off pair of existing 10mm plastic tails

Just had a new extension and had two (1kw) rads installed in new room. The builder has connected the new rads to an existing rad's 10mm plastic pipe tails. One of the new rads is 5m away from the other and this rad does not get warm let alone hot. We have checked water is flowing through and...

Is this granite or Engineered stone

Thanks lostinthelight, That's interesting. I get the feeling if your underside was highly polished it would look the same as the topside. If my underside was highly polished it would look nothing like the topside. Still undecided.

Is this granite or Engineered stone

New build 7 years ago, cancelled order, salesman told us it had granite worktops in kitchen. Always thought it was till we came to extend and looked at the underside of the worktop. It looks totally different. So do you think it is engineered stone or quartz rather than natural granite? We...

    Bridging DPC to DPM

Thanks to both replies above. Is it a special damp proof tape that he should be using?

    Bridging DPC to DPM

Thanks 23vc. That could well be what he has done. The dpc on the inner is much bigger than a block width and could well be a foot wide.

    Bridging DPC to DPM

    Thanks Notch7 that's very helpful.

    Bridging DPC to DPM

During the build of our extension the builder built the walls (outer and inner) before laying the slab. This means the DPM does not go under the course of blocks containing the DPC. Is this a normal practice these days? There is also a gap between the end of DPM in places and the DPC, can this...

One week after TMV replacement - Low Hot water pressure

We were having low hot water pressure on bath tap only. Unvented Megaflo system. Checked TMV (Bossmix) looked OK, filters not blocked, so as it was 6 years old replaced with same model. All fine, with good pressure, after replacement for just over a week then suddenly low pressure on bath hot...

    Loft conversion fire door requirements

This has all been very helpful. Thank you all very much. And half of the wall on the bathroom side has 12mm Hardiebacker so hopefully that's going to help with fire retarding too.

Anyone able to identify this roofing tile?

It turned out to be the original Rivius. Sandtoft said it wasn't suitable for vertical hanging but their Humber in antique was and would be the same colour. Only problem was we couldn't get any anywhere with less than two months lead time. So we went for Redland plain tile in slate grey.

Thanks for all the replies. I think we have a consensus.

    Loft conversion fire door requirements

Loft conversion nearly finished. New stairs match existing and will have a mains wire smoke detector. There are three new rooms in the loft accessible via a small landing at the top of the new stairs. A study (could be used as a small bedroom), a double bedroom and a bathroom. We thought we...

Anyone able to identify this roofing tile?

I think you are right. Here is a link to the old Rivius and the front of the tile looks identical. http://www.henshawsroofandbuild.com/gallery-clay-rivius/ Can't see any sizes to double check though. I am waiting for Wienerberger to reply to my email/. Thanks.

Anyone able to identify this roofing tile?

You are right, the edges are different. But I don't think they are the same as the Rivius. Mine are 320 x 405 mm and are around 20mm thick. Hopefully the latest photos show you the edge well enough to see the pattern. it is only on the edges, unlike the Rivius. Thanks again.

Anyone able to identify this roofing tile?

It appears the first Cassius I found was the NEW Cassius and mine looks identical to the original Cassius. The original is slightly smaller at 405 x 330 mm, will check measurements tonight and that should confirm it. Original Cassius on the left and mine on the right.
