Lights in rest of house are all ok, box not tripped. Lights were all working, changed the switch's over, then nothing. I'm all out of ideas...

I'm replacing some old switches on the hall/landing. 1 gang 2 way upstairs, 2 gang 2 way downstairs. I'm having trouble even after I've followed the diagrams on the how to section. The house is from the 70's so I presume all the wiring colours are old too. Upstairs switch has 3 wires...
