    Doorway edge protector, suggestions please?

First of all thank you for the suggestions. The only problem I have with the corner guards is the wall it's going on to isn't the most solid up to a few inches from the surface. Not sure what kind of botch job they did when building the arch. Nothing is remotely straight is this s@dding house...

    Doorway edge protector, suggestions please?

We've got a narrowish doorway and it's all too easy to catch the edge of it was we walk through due to the angle you have to approach it due to kitchen furniture which I can't move. It's just been redecorated so want to stop damaging/tearing the wallpaper as happened before. I'm not overly keen...

Insulated lining paper. Advice for an inexperienced decorator

Yup Deluks you hit the nail on the head, the fact that the wall doesn't feel cold to the touch and doesn't absorb heat means mositure won't condense as easily on a non insulated lined wall. This is the whole point in us going for this type of lined paper. This will hopefully cut down on mould...

Domestic Titan Petrol leaf blower cutting out. Possible solution

That's a good shout wish I'd spotted that before (y) Would Carlube fuel injector cleaner work as well if you've got petrol you need to use up and to clean out any residues/crap.

Domestic Titan Petrol leaf blower cutting out. Possible solution

I've been meaning to post this about these leaf blowers for some time and it might help somebody else. Almost from new mine would cough and splutter and eventually stop. I'm not particularly engine minded. I changed the spark plug, refreshed with more petrol/oil mixture including an additive to...

Insulated lining paper. Advice for an inexperienced decorator

I'm about to decorate one side (exterior wall) of a bedroom. The wall is prone to dampness and mould being an exterior wall, which gets very cold in winter and the condensation from 2 people over 8 hours is difficult to manage completely. So have decided to give insulated lining paper a go which...

"Professionally" fitted lock - am I right to think this is ... rubbish ?

I'd report this guy. Don't want him to lose his job/business but he either needs to work under supervision until properly re-trained or buck his ideas up

    Pressure washers, hire or buy

When you say feeble have you looked at my suggested combination. I'm aware the rotary splits the flow so won't be as strong as a lance.

    Pressure washers, hire or buy

I'm also bordering a neighbour and there is no wall and will be by a public pathway/road for parts of the job and unfortunately it's not pointed at the front.

    Pressure washers, hire or buy

I have the titan (Titan TTB669PRW 130bar Pressure Washer 1.8kW 240V) but it's not up to the job, don't get me wrong it's okay but for a deep clean it's not up to it. The other issue is with the rotary tool it's usable but it's a pain as it has a tendency to flip as it's without wheels. I should...

    Pressure washers, hire or buy

I'm looking to pressure wash our back and front patio and was originally looking to hire a decent pressure washer. The only problem is that none of the hire places seem to supply them with the rotary washer attachment and the one that does (Brandon) has the rotary built-in and has had bad...

Compression Tee to Garden tap washers

Aren't there supposed to be washers for this sort of thing. I did try PTFE on one of the taps and because it's ½" BSP I used copious amounts but it still leaked a little, may have stopped now. But don't really want to be putting that much PTFE when a rubber washer is the ideal solution. Not...

Compression Tee to Garden tap washers

I'm need washers for a wall mounted compression Tee (Female - Brass) to garden tap connection. Taps were bought at Screwfix. If I screw the tap on fully it ends up at an odd angle and leaks a little bit, straighten it and it leaks a lot more. Why on earth the tight b@st@rds didn't throw in some...

    Salus ST620 RF pairing

The salus can be a right pain in the ar4* to pair but once it's working it's pretty solid. I've not had issues with mine dropping the comms and needing a re-pair ever, maybe I'm lucky. I've posted this here as I spent an hour trying to pair mine and I hope this might help someone. I've never...
