Thanks but ideally I need to replace the bath plug as the bath is tiled in, it would mean a whole bathroom re-tile just to replace the plug.

I am looking for a part for my bath, it is a plastic part that screws into the flexi pipe on the overflow and there is a silver Royal Doulton badge that screws onto the part. The plastic has snapped on the part but I cannot find a supplier for Royal Doulton bath parts. can anybody help?

I had actually had the auto air vent replaced when I moved in because it was leaking so this had already been checked.
