    Yeah i've seen it done that way, but the house is already fully rendered and insulated, will just have to use a wide backing plate to spread the load and hope for the best i guess. Really don't want to be cutting chunks of insulation and rendering off the wall now. thanks good link

    seems like everyones overlooking the obvious here... OP have you checked the signal strength on the box? It's very coincidental that this has just started occuring after high winds, at a guess i would say your dish is very slightly out of alignment leaving you with a borderline signal...
