    Thanks Eric Just getting this wrapped around my room temperature brain, I'll put yellow with red band in bottom left L2 Looking at the top switch, I've got 2 x live going into L1, so I put the downstairs two red's into top left L1 too and blue into corresponding L2 under it? L1 L1 L2 L2

    Just checked, 2 x L1's up the top, 2 x L2's at the bottom, the Mrs bought it from B&Q months ago - it's one of these 'snap on' fronts, it's an Intermediate Switch

    Just to close the thread - we went with the baxi boiler (10 year warrenty jobby) due to the brass fittings. The expansion tank is going, extra large water tank going, hot water tank going, boiler being moved upstairs (from under the stairs)

    Done! THANKYOU! Couldn't get them in the same connector, so threw them in a wago unit For my simplistic brain (and anyone in the future with the same issue), how does a remote thermostat control a physical connection? Is the electric diverted (on/off) via the chipset on the board?
