    Nah, nothing. Can feel it buzzing slightly when I press against the spindle but can't get it to spin. Will just have to bite the bullet. Just had a quick glance and Plumb Center wants 171 bleedin quid !!!. Seen it for 88 on line but obviously have to wait for delivery.

    Ahh, am I right in thinking that if I get a direct replacement, I can just drain the system and swap the top (electrical) part without having to do any plumbing ?

    Hi Picasso, thank you for the quick reply. I've been having a play this morning and noticed that the pump was getting hot but didn't sound like water was pumping. Took out the vent plug and spindle spins freely. Unplugged it from control board and put 240v directly to it via a plug lead. Pump...

    hi, Boiler fine on hot water. When i put CH on flame lights to heat water. Then something switches as though pump is coming on, Pressure quickly rises from 1 to 3 bar and boiler cuts out. Pressure then drops back to original level. Cheers, Graham
