It's a four bottle system. Two in use at once and two ready to switch to when the first two run out. It's on an auto switcher.

That sounds about right. We don't use much hot water, we have an electric shower and dishwasher. I'd hope that the boiler was reaching higher efficiency. It's brand new and thought it was specced at 90+

I'd check with the landlord first, and it would have to be done by an accredited electrician too. Pretty sure the landlord word be happy for it to be done. Yes, it's got a timer, but when it's on it keeps heating regardless of how hot the house gets.

So when you said your wireless one didn't work very well, was that just because that unit wasn't very good, rather than an inherent problem with wireless ones? Is yours a Heatslave 12/14 as well? Are all thermostats compatible with different boilers? Thanks again :)
