Is it good practice to insert 2 wires side by side in 1 terminal of switch. In my example the 2 wires would be the common wire and a feeder wire to another switch. Any responses appreciated.

To update I believe the reason the two wires were intertwined was that this switch was feeding another switch in another room. Now that I have separated the 2 wires, the light in my bedroom doesn't work. So how does this new information help. So I need to keep these 2 wires connected together...

Thankyou folks, I have found mains stopcock, it was at almost at ceiling height next to old water tank. Have relieved pressure and taken off broken feeding loop. I will only attempt to replace the broken valve in the loop with the help of some PTFE tape.

I have a vokera compact 25 boiler. I need to find the stopcock which is feeding the feeding loop, turn it off and then bleed my radiators to relieve pressure (I think).
