Metal Rod Sizes For Garden Cloche

I've seen similar. The issue becomes watering with that style of cloche as you need remove the pipe and corrugated sheets (or polythene) every time you need to water, with this metal style you just lift the entire thing up, water and place it right back down. It's a far easier experience, I know...

Metal Rod Sizes For Garden Cloche

I was thinking the metal might be flexible enough that I could make some sort of wooden form/jig like this to bend it. Is this going to be impossible?

Metal Rod Sizes For Garden Cloche

My grandfather had some old garden cloches that were probably from the 1920's or 30's, really old things but were really handy in the garden. I've been looking online to try find some similar but there doesn't seem to be anywhere that sells this style any more so was thinking of buying some...

How many bags of sand/cement for wall rebuild?

Great, looks like it's 1 cement and 3 sand from the calculator. Thinking of digging down a bit deeper for the base blocks that the walls sits on to stop it falling over again. It has survived 20+ years before falling down though so another 20 years will do me.

How many bags of sand/cement for wall rebuild?

Hi I'm rebuilding a wall that's started to collapse and need to get in some sand/cement to rebuild. Any thoughts on how many bags I'd need to buy? The wall is roughly 8ft long and 18 inches tall

Rough Cost of Building a Front Porch?

Hi, I've recently bought a house and a few properties across the road have added porches to the front of their properties, I wondered if anyone would be able to give me a rough guide as to what I should expect something like these to cost? I'm in Bradford, West Yorkshire. Thanks

New Light Trips The Electrics Off

Ooops, that would explain the confusion and why I couldn't find the fourth terminal that I was supposed to be putting the red wires in!

New Light Trips The Electrics Off

I understand this must be a fault on my part as it didn't trip before. I am really not used to electrics and thought changing the light would be a simple enough job, it seems I was wrong. How do I fix this? The light currently doesn't switch on at all, just trips as soon as it's switched on.

New Light Trips The Electrics Off

That is how they were on the old light. I just put them in the new light exactly as they were previously. One of the sets of wires goes back to the fusebox, the other goes to the light switch.

New Light Trips The Electrics Off

Please see the attached image. On the fusebox the first switch (on the bottom in the photo) is tripping off. I have attached a photo also of how I connected the wires.100_4657 by sienewman posted 6 Nov 2015 at 12:38 PM100_4658 by sienewman posted 6 Nov 2015 at 12:39 PM

New Light Trips The Electrics Off

I have electrics in an outbuilding with a separate fusebox to the house. I have replaced the old bulb light with one of those florescent tube lights and wired it in, however every time I turn the new light on it flicks the electrics off. The plug sockets in the room are all working fine, it's...

    Dulux Trade Ultimate Woodstain

That is a shame, I was hoping I could use this as I'm looking for a really nice finish. But if I can't get a good finish on the rough planed timber I'll have to look for something else.

    Dulux Trade Ultimate Woodstain

Hi there, I have a few tins of dulux trade ultimate woodstain that someone gave me that I'm looking to use to paint my shed. However, the specs for this paint say it should be used on smooth planed timber, the shed however is rough planed. I wondered if this would be still suitable? I want to...
