    Thanks for the advice... Its interesting as someone must have extended the wall by a foot into the room as it is 90% breeze block type solid material and then a wooden frame.. . Again not touching anything other than extending the wall out a foot

    Yeah it's touching the external wall.. I've removed plaster all the way to the external so I know nothing it restigg at any point but I guess it's just the question of whether it's holding walls up just by being there
