Hi all...
I'm doing up a buy to let and I've replaced what was a horrible 70ish hardboard stair block thing with basic retail bought stair parts... Only issue is the space for Newell post is small and is half floorboard only and half large support wooden block.. I used a recommended method of keybock but post was too wobbly as it was just a surface Fastening... Any ideas.. I was planning on cutting into boards to sink post into floor but it has a cement girder after 3inches.. Plus the room to manoeuvre the cut is tiny.. See pics
