MCB tripping once on power up

So, simply replace my eight way extension, with one with switched outlets? OK thanks.

MCB tripping once on power up

That seems like a reasonable response. Lights are not on the RCD, Shower has separate RCD. The CU was replaced just before we bought the house. We've had the system checked a couple of times and only comments were it's outdated.

MCB tripping once on power up

Nope, Just been having a chat with the Spark on WhatsApp as I know this can be overcome. We have sites at work that contain racks of network gear and this is not a thing. I was simply asking if there is a technical way to overcome this. I'd rather not have to crawl round on my hands and knees...

MCB tripping once on power up

There is only one double socket in the room. The right socket has a homeplug adapter fitted to provide network to another location in the house. The left socket feeds an eight way surge protected extension. That is pretty hard to get to, due to all the other crap in the Study. As a test, I...

MCB tripping once on power up

My study is upstairs on a single B16 MCB. The room contains all our IT equipment. I had to power down the system recently to get some other electrical work done. We noticed that the MCB will trip once when power is re-applied. Provided that the MCB is switchwd back on in a timely manner, it...

Adding MAX 4 Reader to Group - not working as expected

The scanned number (User-001) has access to Groups 1,2 & 3. This is my Administrator account and also the Account I use to Arm/Disarm the system on a day to day bassis. The Printed number (User-008 G-Max) is the MAX user & initially assigned only to Group 2. Didn't open the door until I assigned...

Adding MAX 4 Reader to Group - not working as expected

Galaxy GD256 has 3 Groups: Group 1 - Main House (Main Panel & Powered RIO's) Group 2 - Workshop (Powered RIO) Group 3 - Garages (Powered RIO) I have added a MAX 4 to the RIO in Group 2 Garages. It's addressed onto the Galaxy GD256 with no issues and Access Control is enabled. I've assigned the...

    Galaxy G3-520 & AG8 power issues

While working on my Galaxy panel recently I had to cut the power & disconnect the battery as I was adding in some new keypads. Before cutting power I spared out the AG8 bell in the Engineering Menu>Outputs menu. Verified the alarm did not sound by triggering an intrusion (Part set then open the...

SDS bit snapped in brickwork - what to do?

Got it out. I used a 20mm SDS to get to the bit and give me some room to see. Then used another 6mm SDS to drill just below the broken bit. It dropped down into the new hole and i was able to retrieve it with a pair of long nosed pliers. I was then able to complete the hole through the wall...

    Nope, it's jammed in tight.

SDS bit snapped in brickwork - what to do?

I thought this might be the only viable option. Alas i have no spare 6mm SDS bits. I've given up on ordinary masonry bits now as they all seem to be rubbish but might dig some out as i'm not bothered about knackering those. This brick is stupid tough though. It's a real bummer as the bit has...

SDS bit snapped in brickwork - what to do?

This is one of those annoying fittings that has a 20mm internal dia extrusion for gluing in the pva pipe. Its only in the bottom left. I thought about rotating the light by 180deg but the manufacturer does not recommend this.

SDS bit snapped in brickwork - what to do?

I was in the process of drilling a 6mm pilot hole in the facia brickwork beside my back door. The bricks have a smooth fired finish. I figured i'd put in a pilot first to minimise the finish coming away. Then proceed with larger bits up to the final hole size of 20mm. The 6mm Bosch SDS plus bit...

    Galaxy flex GX remote app

I just stumbled across this thread. Been curious to get the gx app running with notifications. I followed the instructions from this thread but i get a COMM FAIL COM 4 when I try the engineer test. Com 4, I know is the ethernet module. This is working as I can connect with the gx app. I've...
