    Kitchen Tap Ceramic Cartridge Code.

Hello. Is there any sort of standard coding for ceramic cartridges? I have the measurements for a 20-spine, 3/4 cartridge but there appear to be various choices with slightly different sizes. I do not know the name of the mixer taps the cartridge belongs to. I have attached an image of the...

    Replacing a ceramic cartridge.

Thanks. I have had to put the tap back for the moment but there is no grub screw underneath the shroud or at the back.

    Replacing a ceramic cartridge.

Could someone advise if the ceramic cartridge in the image of a tap attached just pulls out of the housing, or is the housing removed in some way? Both appear to be immovable at the moment. Thanks.

    Clothes dryer collapsing.

Those images are just showing how the mechanism works. For some reason the very moment you stop supporting the dryer it collapses, which wasn't the case before it was leant on heavily. The mechanism would engage in the elongated hole and stay there but not anymore.

    Clothes dryer collapsing.

Hello. Attached are images of a clothes dryer that is meant to lock under its own weight using the slot mechanism shown in the images. A family member leant on the dryer heavily and it collapsed. On inspection, nothing appeared to be broken or bent but although the mauve plastic levers engage in...

    'Z' strip adhesive.

I have attached images of an example of a section of 'Z' strip I am going to use connecting wooden flooring and carpet, the carpet is on a concrete floor. Is there a particularly good adhesive I could use on the concrete to fix the strip? Thanks.

    Russell Hobbs self cleaning issue

I was wondering if anyone had experienced a problem with the self-cleaning operation of a Russell Hobbs iron. When pressing the self-cleaning button, the full tank of water in the iron is meant to leave the iron through holes in the iron plate, along with steam. Very little water is leaving my...

Connecting isolating valve to copper pipe.

Thanks oldbuffer. Could you advise on the correct tool to separate the old valve from its nut and likewise connect the flexible pipe to the older nut.?

Connecting isolating valve to copper pipe.

Hello. I've attached an image of an existing isolation valve setup to a cistern. I want to cut off the valve and replace it with a flexible pipe/valve but I've noticed that the copper pipe is slightly deformed and I'm concerned that a new flexible pipe might not sit properly on its olive. Is it...

    Fridge/Freezer housing to door hinge

Thanks, JohnD. The cabinet depth is 57cm and the new FF depth is 54.8m. I have attached images of the current FF which shows that it leans slightly in two directions, which probably accounts for the fouling of the hinges and the fact that a sliding hinge is only used on the lower part of the...

    Fridge/Freezer housing to door hinge

Thanks jj4091. So, the hinge arrangement on my current fridge/freezer cabinet to the wooden door is not a typical setup? I am hopefully ordering a new FF tomorrow and you are suggesting that there should be a fixing kit included. I should add that the current arrangement also has a sliding...

    Fridge/Freezer housing to door hinge

Hello. I am replacing an integrated Fridge/Freezer. The cabinet width is the correct standard width to accommodate a new unit but I am concerned that the new FF, which is approximately 5mm larger in width than the current FF, will foul the hinges connecting wooden doors to the FF cabinet (see...
