Hi looking for some advice. Ive ordered a outset balanced flue gas fire from my local plumbing and heating shop. Its a Robinson willey firecharm room sealed rs. My wall on the inside where the fire is going is a timber framed construction wall with pir insulation inbetween the timber batts...

So if i get the flavel calibre inset gas fire will i need to board the timber frame with normal plasterboards before constructing a metal frame chimney or does that have to be cement backer boards? And does the chimney i make have to have cement boards or just normal plasterboards around it? See...

No to flueless, they are ok to run for 20 mins then you see your patio door steaming up with condensation

Yes thats what im after. So with the flavel calibre fire would i have to make a false chimney to recess the fire into or can I screw this fire directly to a flat brick wall without making a box around the fire?

Looks good but isnt that a hole in the wall balanced flue fire, i thought with them fires you cut a hole in the chimney to fit these but i dont have a chimney

So will the felt still bond to wet and damp boards?

That's fine ,but i didn't just want him to lay the felt on wet boards and get paid and me having to deal the the problems after.

As above ive had my flat roof reboarded and turned into a warm roof just before we had all this rain over last few weeks. i covered it up but seems like the water has got through and the osb boards are wet/damp in a few places. Would it cause any problems if the roofer torch onto the damp/wet...

Thanks for that ive was worried as ive never seen it done like that having all the sockets in one bedroom branching into 1 junction box. Shouldn't be too much load for 1 bedroom and the kitchen sockets are on a separate 32a mcb ring final

Ive just moved into a bungalow and was looking to add more sockets but ive noticed the current wiring on 1 of the sockets circuit is wired up weirdly with a junction box connected to all sockets from one junction box So i have a 20a mcb for that particular socket circuit in the consumer unit...

Hi what grout would you use in a wet room floor? Is the normal cement based fine to use or do i need epoxy grout?

Thanks for that. So what else do i need. Can i tile straight onto the concrete floor or will i need some sort of membrane. Or can i just use tanking slurry for the walls and floor with the small square mat you get with it that goes around the drain hole?

Hi im about to have my floor tiled for wet room shower and i needed to know which trap/drain is correct to buy. My bathroom is downstairs and tiles are going over concrete floor. Couldn't find any traps or drains from b&q or wickes for a walk in shower as they only had traps for shower trays...

Yeh probably blocked plate heat exchanger. Its block so hot water is going into ch instead.

Maybe diverter valve or blocked plate heat exchanger. When you run the tap does any of the central heating pipes get hot under the boiler?
