replaced light switch - 2 way switch develops intermittent issue after a week

Just to update in case it helps anyone, when I made this thread I got behind to take pictures and triple check wiring, while I did that I tightened absolutely everything again. Issue has not come back in 2 months, must've just been a loose wire or as Conny had said might have been insulation...

replaced light switch - 2 way switch develops intermittent issue after a week

As someone who doesn't really know what they're doing most of the time I make a habit of taking photos of everything  Starting to doubt myself, but if I had mixed up the reds and yellows from other switches would the other switches work as expected? we've not seen any issues with the other...

temporary parking on the front lawn

No I don't, the idea was that I would declare it SORN so I'm not paying tax and insurance while I'm fixing her up ready for sale, would be looking for about 2.5k once she's ready. Just didn't want to tax and insure 2 cars while there's no ads up. So I tried driving onto some paving slabs and...

Hi, so I'm picking up a new car today and going to have 3 cars at my house temporarily until I can get my old car sold. I'm thinking 2 on the drive and 1 on the lawn (didn't want to be a nuisance to neighbours and park on the road). Just wondering what my best option would be, I'm thinking this...

New basin waste but not enough thread for the trap?

Thanks @kidgreen61 didn't think of that, although I'd be worried it wouldn't hold as tight? yeah theres 2 nuts, one to fix the waste to the basin / hold the cone shaped seal in, and another to attach the trap. @HERTSDRAINAGE2010 first attempt was with just the basin mait and supplied washers...

New basin waste but not enough thread for the trap?

Hi, so I've fitted a new waste with one of these seal kits - http://www.diy.com/departments/plumbsure-plastic-rubber-basin-sealer-set-of-1/178380_BQ.prd# and it's been pushed up / tightened, but there doesn't seem to be enough thread left on the waste to tighten the trap enough to make a good...

Hi guys, Love this forum, long time lurker, but first time posting. I'm getting a new boiler installed these few days, taking out the old tank fed system for a combi, relocating from kitchen to upstairs airing cupboard, pipework, brickwork etc. etc. Day 2 of 3 right now, and I noticed there's...
