    Fraudulent sign off, who's liable

Drawings been done, then I can obtain quote from Civil engineers to do it, it's one of Anglian's 'approved contractors' but they are private companies. You can have your own builder, but they have to jump through so much to be allowed to work on it, paperwork and red tape.

    Fraudulent sign off, who's liable

They want us to pay twice for the sewer diversions, so we fund all costs of moving two public sewers off our land one, pay all legal fees, compo to the council as it's been re-laid on their land where all other public services run. We then have to give Anglian the same ammount of money again...

    Fraudulent sign off, who's liable

Permitted devolpment for this build, no planning permission required. Short of demolishing the house impossible to change the plans we would have to reverse the entire house around on on the ground level. Or demolish the enitre site to and have the exteneded garage on the otherside of the plot.

    Fraudulent sign off, who's liable

The house doesn't meet building regulations either in 1994 when it was built, let alone now. Paperwork for the spec of the house held by the council doesn't match with the existing house as it stands now. We can't extend anywhere without diverting the pipes. Anglian are not helpful.

    Fraudulent sign off, who's liable

It's stopped everything, ground level has already been dropped ready for piling and now we are static - we've been told this house should have never been signed off, movment costs I have no intention of us paying for whatsoever

    Fraudulent sign off, who's liable

Anybody ever had this or think this is even legal. In 1994 we bought a new build house. We are just about to add an extension. However, there are two large public sewer pipes suddenly flag that run within varying distance of between 100mm and 500mm of the house and garage and is stopping us...

Build over agreements - public waste

Nope, if not built according to regs at that time, hey have nothing to stand on my two cents else they cover the costs of diverting it

I have to divert it, the surface water one we are not touching far too much to move, pipe is huge. The foul is 360mm wide x 400mm deep measured internally. No access holes are in our property they are on a public green area, so are outside our boundary. Our piling contractor did work in...

    Piling costs check

They are bored, no soils invesitagtion, we have a 7ft deep hole to detect the existing house footings which go down past 7ft. Plus on land just outside out boundary we have 40/50ft+ trees. Building inspector said strip would need to be at least as deep as house. Hence piling to stop costs going...

    Piling costs check

Building inspector said footings would need to be at least as deep as house, so waste removal and concerate in becomes sky high. The 16K + vat is the piles and a floating concerate raft. The foundation change has added almost 20K for the build. Think it's about 11 or 12 piles if memory serves.

    Piling costs check

Can someone please help, we are building a single level extention. 4m out from the house and garage by 12.55m long. The house footings go down past 7ft so strip foundations are out, due to 50+ft trees near. How much should a piled soltiuon be with a floating raft. I think 16K + vat is a rip off....
