Thanks - so if Aqualisa simply upgraded the shower kit would they have installed a new valve too? It seems most likely that they just updated the kit to a Dream and mated the new kit to the existing historic valve assembly which presumably sits in the wall behind the tiles? I'm not a plumber...

Hi we had a 2000 model aqualisa shower upgraded to a dream by Aqualisa as the old shower control was leaking - it was 17 years old; they suggested an upgrade given the relative cost of replacing the cartridge. Upgrade and 2 x new cartridges and one new O ring later, the shower head drips...
