Intergas Eco Rf 24 with Joule unvented cylinder install.

I also had a water softener installed, cant see it very well here but its a Monarch Midi, its also made a big improvement. The next stage is to get a 'proper' second shower fitted and see how it all works with 2 bathrooms concurrently.

Intergas Eco Rf 24 with Joule unvented cylinder install.

Following on from a previous thread where I had my water supply upgraded here I'd like to share some pictures of the finished install :D The hardware side is great, oodles of hot water at great pressure and the house is lovely and warm. The only caveat (always has to be at least one :() is that...

New water mains pipe or accumulator in Potters Bar, Herts Update 11/9

Update...new 22mm mains pipe fitted from edge of our property into house, flow is now noticeably better :D. I'm now awaiting a quote for a new boiler and unvented cylinder solution, which I hope will allow 2 showers to run at the same time. Many thanks to dilalio of this forum. I'll keep popping...

New water mains pipe or accumulator in Potters Bar, Herts Update 11/9

Our thermostatic mixer shower has now decided to only run just above lukewarm...bit of a coincidence its happened just after the mains test ☹. Hot is perfect to all taps, losing the will now.

New water mains pipe or accumulator in Potters Bar, Herts Update 11/9

I was worried it would be a bit spendy....feels like money that should go on the heating/hot water solution but I suppose it's like making sure you have good foundations before building a house?

New water mains pipe or accumulator in Potters Bar, Herts Update 11/9

Any idea of potential cost of new mains supply pipe, around 15 meters from main to existing incoming supply stopcock?

New water mains pipe or accumulator in Potters Bar, Herts Update 11/9

Well after a few weeks waiting and a lot of phone calls to Affinity Water, on the second visit from one of their engineers I got the mains pressure/flow readings from the mains in the street outside. Pressure is 2.5 and flow rate is 35 lpm. Inside the house the its just below 2.5 bar but only 15...

New water mains pipe or accumulator in Potters Bar, Herts Update 11/9

Presumably I need to make sure the mains pressure in the street is going to make a new mains pipe worthwhile? This is all in preparation for a new heating/hot water system, hopefully. Any recommendation for a boring company that could do the entire job?

New water mains pipe or accumulator in Potters Bar, Herts Update 11/9

Small world I'm non-adjoining next door to 195. I understand what you say about their combi but only a couple of weeks ago they did not realise that raw sewage was leaking from the drain on the drive outside their house ☹. With all the advice given above (thanks to all) it sounds like I need to...

New water mains pipe or accumulator in Potters Bar, Herts Update 11/9

I'm in Sunnybank Road, right at the top by the old Sunnybank school. When we first moved here we'd get some summer days with no water at all (refunds from water company) but they renewed the mains pipes 10+ years ago and things improved a lot. We got a combi after a loft extention left very...

New water mains pipe or accumulator in Potters Bar, Herts Update 11/9

Hello All, Please can anyone offer some advice re the above? I have an older combi W/Bosch 28cdi which is fine if we use the shower either very early in the morning or later in the evening when the water flow/pressure is O.K. If we use it in 'normal' hours (6.30-9.30am) we get fluctuating water...
