Hive Active Heating on Worcester 28 SI

There's no thermostat with it at all, wired or wireless. I can only use the digital timer on the front of the boiler. I can see a loom of wires going from the innards of the boiler that then plug into the timer, other than that I don't want to go poking around too much. Best get an RGI then?

Hive Active Heating on Worcester 28 SI

HI Does anyone have any idea how easy (or hard) it would be to install Hive on a Worcester 28 SI? I don't have any kind of wireless thermostat at the moment, just the digital timer on the boiler itself. Just trying to gauge if I should just shell out for the paid install or not. I've had a...

    Leaking Kitchen Window: Drainage Holes?

Hi Our kitchen window has leaked since we moved in, the previous owners tried to fix it by outing sillicone everywhere. Last year we got a window man out and he redid all the seals but said it might be an issue with the render. With the recent bad weather the leak is back, I woke up this...

    Downpipe has disconnected from gutter

There are clips attached, but they don’t seem to hold enough to stop any vertical movement (see photos above) There’s no swan neck, it’s just a straight drop from the gutter outlet

    Downpipe has disconnected from gutter

Yeah there are clips along the whole length but it doesn’t seem to hold it up so the screw idea is a bit of obvious genius thanks, I’ll five it a go.

    Downpipe has disconnected from gutter

Hi all just after a bit of advice. Our drain that was used for the guttering downpipe and waste from the washing machine has blocked, but to be able to clear the blockage we had to cut the bottom section of the downpipe (just above the shoe) as it was resting on the metal grid covering the...

No working TRV in the house

Would it be a matter of just replacing the head or would I have to some actual plumbing?

No working TRV in the house

Sorry, yes, everything is as tight as I can tighten them. I've tried a penny, but the valve won't fit on with a penny in place. Is it looking like I just need to replace all the valves - should I give those spacers a go? Could it be anything else? I just find it odd that they've gone on all 7...

No working TRV in the house

They should turn the radiator off when set to zero no? All the radiators are on full time and there’s no adjustment in temp when you turn them down. Only way to adjust the temp is to do it at the boiler.

No working TRV in the house

Hi guys, hope this is the right place. Since we moved in to this house 2 years ago, none of the TRVs on the rads have worked. That’s 7 radiators. We had a guy in about this time last year and he said the best thing to do would be to install a thermostat, however there are some rooms that’s...
