Thanks John. Finally got round to getting it up on a bench for a look. Belt was still there but not on pulleys. Bit of a fankle but got it cleaned up a bit, back on and it now self-propels again.

A club I belong to has an elderly Honda Izy 16" mower. Runs and cuts fine but it's supposed to self propel and doesn't.
