    Any suggestions #GalaxyGuy?

    Galaxy Dimension zones High Resistante

I forgot. I don´t understand what you mean. I tested several zones (sensors) that have the issue, and the zone resistance I read in the keypad display is around 1000Ω with the zone closed and around 2000Ω with the zone opened.

    Galaxy Dimension zones High Resistante

First of all, thanks for your reply. Galaxy Dimension 96 FW version 6.94 2 external RIOs both with version v1.00 Since most high resistance issues are with detectors wired to the external RIOs, it seems to me this might be the problem. Can a RIO fw be updated? They don't seem to have a port...

    Galaxy Dimension zones High Resistante

#GalaxyGuy Can you please help here? Already removed everything from the panel, leaving just 1 keypad in Line 1, closing all zones with 1K resistors. In the following 20 days, resistances changed between minimums of 984 and maximums of 1020 Ohm in all 14 zones. CONCLUSION: if this minimum to...

    Galaxy Dimension zones High Resistante

Unfortunately, the problem persists. The system is now Galaxy Dimension 96 Panel Line 2 -> RIO 2-> Keypad. Would it be usefull to connect the external RIO to Line 1 instead and see what happens? Other conclusions/observations I took (don't know if correct and if it helps): First 8 onboard...

    Galaxy Dimension zones High Resistante

It´s taking some time, higher resistances don't occur everyday and not always in the same zones. It looks like a random thing. This post it's just to keep an update. And yes, I didn't show everything in my diagram. The external sounder was driven by the disconnected RIO's outputs, but the...

    Galaxy Dimension zones High Resistante

It is a Elmdene Power Supply, for the two offboard RIOs that I have, an external sounder and a landline voice communicator. The voltages on those RIOs (Option 61 - Diagnostics) were a bit higher (RIO 2 = 13,96V; RIO 3 = 13,80V) than the voltages on the onboard RIOs 0 and 1, which had voltages...

    Galaxy Dimension zones High Resistante

So, if I have the same high resistances issues in both the onboard RIOs and the offboard RIOs, it is unlikelly that the problem comes from the Galaxy Control Panel, is that right?

    Galaxy Dimension zones High Resistante

I believe I have it right (first attached diagram). I do not have the 0V of the External PSU directly connected to the 0V of the panel, only via the RIOs. 1) But that is the same, right? The layout of my system is in the second attached diagram. I do not have 680 Ohm EOL resistors in the end...

    Galaxy Dimension zones High Resistante

Yes, I did just that. The resistor measured with the multimeter has a stable reading, +- 1 Ohm. But once I use that resistor to close a spare zone, its reading in the panel has a wide range, between 989 and 1026 Ohm. Is that normal?

    Galaxy Dimension zones High Resistante

I've been trying to find a pattern of the problem, but it's not easy. Things I think that are strange: - Min resistances of distant (30m) detectors being equal to min resistances of spare zones closed with 1k resistor on the board. - Min resistance of spare zone closed with 1k resistor...

    Pyronix V2 GSM dialer

I have the same problem. It worked when first powered up. Doesn't work anymore, so I'd like to remove power and power it up again, but afraid I will lose all settings. Does anybody know if it has a non volatile memory? Can't find that in the specs or manuals.

    Galaxy Dimension zones High Resistante

Whenever I check the problematic zones resistances they seem to be Ok, around 1000 Ohm. But if I check the min and max resistances for the past 14 days, sometimes I find one day with a max very close to 1300 Ohm. Min are always Ok. So I can replace the zone wiring with a 1K resistor and check...

    Galaxy Dimension zones High Resistante

Thank you GalaxyGuy. I have finally looked everything you said. But I have issues with on-board devices as well, as I wrote on my previous post: zone 1011 and Aux Tamper fault. Power rails seem to be Ok, screws all tight. I do not use CCA cables, only copper. Distances to devices are not that...

    Galaxy Dimension zones High Resistante

Hi guys. I've been having some faults with a Galaxy Dimension panel (installed March 2018): - Fault in DualTech detector (onboard RIO 01 zone nr. 1011), on march 2020. Option 21 showed last 13 days high resistances below 1200 Ohm, but high resistance on the day of the alarm (1296 Ohm). No...

Two DualTech detectors face to face?

Ok, guys. I feel so stupid I didn't read the WatchOUT Brochure more carefully before. In the "Highlights", it's written "Microwave anti-collision allows back-to-back installation". But, further on in the Brochure, it's written "With the Anti-Collision feature that helps achieve optimal and...

Two DualTech detectors face to face?

Obviously, I am not the person who has the knowledge to answer that. Why not try it for a few more days?

Two DualTech detectors face to face?

Thanks @Josh_365. Good to know that. But they are also for relatively small animals: some detectors max. 10 Kg; others max. 35Kg. My dogs are 45Kg and large. I might also have some ocasional boars and foxes, but foxes are smaller.
