    RoomThermostat Replacement Help

Ok. Thanks. How do I loop the Neutral wire on the Sunvic - there's nowhere to connect to? At the Boiler end, Neutral (Blue) is used, but I don't see any route to the old Honeywell....

    RoomThermostat Replacement Help

I am replacing an old Honeywell T6360B rotary room thermostat with a digital (battery powered) Sunvic TLX 7501. I have uploaded pictures of the wiring for both of them. Please advise on the correct wiring for the new Sunvic. The Honeywell has a Red Live (always 240v), a Yellow switched live...

Thorn EMI Appollo 30/50 Boiler banging noise!

Had a cold tank dry up, now fixed. But the boiler runs through a cycle of loud bangs, 4 quiet pops, total quiet then starts again over a 5 minute period. My guess is an airlock somewhere. Can anyone advise where I can bleed this from? Or is this a more fundamental i.e. expensive! problem? Thanks

2 Way, 2 gang lighting switch problem

Qedelec, Yep. That did the trick. Many thanks. Now all I need is to figure an easy way to slide/pull through another 3 core to downstairs without pulling the floorboards up for a proper 2g/2w action!!

2 Way, 2 gang lighting switch problem

Ok. I'll swap the yellow at common with which red? There are two in L1 on the left of the picture, and the red/black is with the blue in L2.

2 Way, 2 gang lighting switch problem

Here's the photos of the rewired switches. Note that the downstairs two reds are now both live. And the upstairs switch: All wired as specified in earlier posts.

2 Way, 2 gang lighting switch problem

Further to my last message: The downstairs switch now acts as a toggle. Once switched to on, the upstairs light stays on regardless of the switch upstairs. But when switched to off, the upstairs switch now is able to control the light normally - But when it is switched to on this now makes the...

2 Way, 2 gang lighting switch problem

Photo of the Downstairs 2gang, 2 way switch unit. Note that has L2 empty: Photo of the Upstairs 2gang, 2 way switch. It has two separate gangs. The one controling the upstairs light does not have L2 connected. The Red wire with the inline connector comes from downstairs and feeds into the...

2 Way, 2 gang lighting switch problem

I've sent 3 photos - one showing the Upstairs ceiling rose wiring and the pendant. The two wires going up from the Upstairs switch are Black (Common) and Red (L1). Downstairs pendant wiring is behind the Ceiling board. But there is an ordinary 3 core flat that attaches to the pendant fitting...

2 Way, 2 gang lighting switch problem

I 've tried that - swapped the Common red and L1 red over. All that happens is that the downstairs switching is moved from switch 1 to switch 2. Still no control of the upstairs light from downstairs. It seems to me that there must be a wire missing from the L2 point downstairs to the L2...

2 Way, 2 gang lighting switch problem

Nothing. This is how I found the wiring when I moved in recently. I'm now in the process of investigating this problem.

2 Way, 2 gang lighting switch problem

I've looked through the articles but don't see a solution to my problem. I attach two images - one that shows the upstairs two gang switch and one that shows the downstairs two way switch. It is a Hamilton with a single moulded connection block with two rows of L1, L2, C points. In both up...
