    Patio pointing options

Hi fellow DIY-ers, I’ve laid a new patio using concrete slabs, just wondering what my best option for pointing them would be? They’ve got a slight chamfer on the edge, so the bottom of the slabs are touching, whilst the gap at the top is about 15mm. I’ve seen the brush in resin options...

    Shed cladding options

Similar style to what is there at the moment - will finish just short of the neighbours fence to allow it to run into a gutter.

    Shed cladding options

I’ve got an old shed I’m looking to replace. It’s against the end wall of my garage so I’m intending to make it a ‘lean to’, using the garage wall as one of the sides. Back wall will be against neighbours fence, right hand wall will be against fence, front will be viewable. Picture shows...

    Cavity Wall Insulation

Sounds like I should ignore the EPC then. Thanks for the advice. There's no evidence of holes on the outside of the house where it's been injected in. Average cost to stick cavity wall insulation in a 3 bed semi then? The company I rang yesterday said it was £760 which seemed quite expensive.

    Cavity Wall Insulation

Hello fellow DIYers. Perhaps you can help. I recently took a window board off in my bathroom (to replace it). When it was off it revealed the cavity which was empty. However, my EPC Certificate says that I have got cavity wall insulation. House was built late 60's/early 70's. I've lived in...

    Filling Expansion Gap

Hello, I've got a detached garage that was built in the 70's. Inside, between the floor slab and the wall is an expansion gap, or it could even be a gap that has opened up over time. It's varying widths between 1-2cm and at certain points quite deep – clearing the years of dust out of it...

    Bathroom Plastering Advice

Afternoon all, I'm having a new bathroom fitted but I'm currently at the stage of ripping all the old stuff out first. I've taken the bath out and all the tiles around it. The walls are constucted using flower pot bricks/grey blocks, this is then coated in cement render, then plastered, then...

    Single brick wall insulation options

Thanks for the response. All makes sense. Celotex just stuck to the wall with suitable 'no more nails'? Also, with screwing the battens to the celotex - does the screw just go into the celotex, or all the way through it and into the wall behind? Apologies for all the noob questions.

    Single brick wall insulation options

Hello, perhaps you can help - first time post... I've got a house built in the 70's. The style of house means the lounge and bedroom window (above the lounge window) have been built into a single thickness block wall with tiles on the outside between the two windows. The rest of the house is...
