Is there an option to just switch heating off or do you mean switch boiler off? When boilers off no hot water, when i turn the heating right down to minimum and try water, it only runs hot for a minute or so then gas cuts out and shuts boiler off.

Ok makes sense. Circuit board needing replaced again then. Just to confirm before i order it, heating and hot water stops working when the boiler cuts out (flame in tell-tale window goes out) in your experience this will be a pcb fault?

A relay or something in the pcb causing the boiler to cut out you think? The water and heating obviously stop when the boilers cutting out.

No sorry, my boilers expansion vessel is flooded, it kept dropping pressure so the engineer suggested flooding it to stop this rather than replacing it as apparently its a nightmare to replace on my boiler?

The pressure vessel is flooded an engineer told me it should be fine to run it like that? He talking ****?

I keep the pressure just under 1 bar, the prv has a very slight leak so will drop slightly over the course of the day but i always make sure the pressure is just under 1. Would i be aswell getting a new pcb then?

yeah its hot when i run a tap. I replaced the pcb last month albeit a secondhand one, you think it could still be the problem?

Would glossing over the doors seal the smell in?

Thanks for replies decided to keep the original doors and try fix them up. Question though, the doors were boarded over, after i removed the boards there has been an awful smell coming from the wood, even after painting. Any ideas in how to get rid of the smell?

Im wanting to replace the doors in my house but they are a weird size. Living room is 2095mm x 855mm Bedroom is 2110mm x 840mm Bathroom is 2090mm x 600mm Anywhere i can buy these sizes off the shelf?

Yeah il get one ordered, soaked it in hot soapy water and tried cleaning it best i can, a lot of black crud removed. Seems to be holding now for the time being, but il just replace it for all it is.

Tried taking it apart like in the video but for some reason the whole insert of the valve just turns when i get grips on it like its not threaded

Thanks il try that today, silly question but do i need to shut the water off before removing the valve? Or would just dumping the water via the prv be enough?

Prv pipe is dripping away outside, pressure dropping rapidly, can actually see the needle moving. Replacing the pressure release valve should cure this yes?

More trouble with this boiler! Been working fine for a week, although needing to top pressire up every few hours. Tonight the pilot seems to be cutting out intermittent then starting up for a few mins then out again, any ideas? Will this be related to the EV losing pressure?
