Compression tee for imperial 15.x mm pipe

Reading your original post I was concerned with something you said. You say run from a loft tank? This could be a typo but I’m assuming you meant the pipe running to your tank which would be mains cold water and would be best to feed your outside tap. I wouldn’t recommend feeding your outside...

Compression tee for imperial 15.x mm pipe

How did you cut the pipe? Did you use a hacksaw? If so you need to file the flaired edges. I can’t think of any other reasons why they don’t fit other than they are used olives and have already been tightened onto pipework before.

I stand by my original comment.

Compression tee for imperial 15.x mm pipe

You can’t get 15mm imperial fittings. They don’t exist and have never existed. If it’s bigger than 15mm it’s most likely 22mm which you can get imperial fittings.

Advice needed on the correct size of boiler and gas supply pipe please

Don’t go with British Gas they’ll more than likely fit the boiler then tell you that your gas pipework needs upgrading. By law they’ll be able to turn off your appliance until you pay the extra money to increase the size of your gas run. 100% go with Vaillant installer.

Waste disposal unit / quooker tap problem

Not really sure but from what I can come up with is maybe they have ran the pressure relief into the sink waste. Maybe there is tundish on the PRV and the food waste is coming out of that. Just a theory. Unsure until I could see the installation.

Average life expectancy of Baxi combi boilers? Any advice appreciated!

I’d honestly say if youve got 5 years out of a new boiler nowadays then you’ve done well. They just don’t make them like they used to :LOL::LOL::LOL:

    Boiler overheating

Going on the assumption your boiler was fully working before then definitely an air lock. It maybe just your pump is airlocked, or maybe a coincidence and your pump has seized.

    Rising main question

Before you go fitting a mega flow and pressurerising your stored hot water see what your incoming mains cold water pressure is.

    New build

I have a new house and any maintenance on plumbing and heating isn’t straight forward as they have a tendency to hide pipework in walls and use bathroom furniture that’s needs to be removed to change any parts etc. Never fun trying to get sheets of MDF board up to get to pipes either.

40kw Boiler in 3 Bed Bungalow

I take it you have a combi boiler? It’s never really a good idea to oversize your appliance but regardless if it’s to big for your property or not it shouldn’t cost you anymore to run. Maybe you have a small gas leak? I would assume that your service engineer did a gas safety inspection aswell...

This is strange. Is there some kind of injector cartridge for high pressure water in the hose or something. I really have no idea. You tried blowing down the hose? :p

Hot water recirculation pump good idea? Grundfos?

I guess fresh aerated hot water can take it’s tole on any form of pipework. Especially ones with rubber seals.

Hot water recirculation pump good idea? Grundfos?

Interesting. So basically what John Guest is saying they haven’t tested their products on recirculating hotwater systems so don’t use it and moan at us if anything goes wrong
