    BOSCH slimline Dishwasher model SRS45E22

Had this dishwasher approx 3.5 years. Normally very quiet, but in last week or so it is making a loud buzzing noise on the wash cycles. Does not make this noise when filling with water or when draining. When cycle finished it lets out a soft panting noise as though happy to have stopped working...

    Warped fence panels

I have had a new 6' fence erected 2 weeks ago. Used Forest Board £35 a piece panels. 2 of the panels have a number of the individual strips of wood which have severely warped leaving big gaps that you can put your hand through. The fencer, known to me and I am happy he is not the problem...

    Hot Water Tank

In answer to your questions bster, yes to all of them. Valve identified, Boiler stays alight Pipe between valve and cylinder gets hot I turned the hot water on 20 minutes earlier than central heating. Tank was hot from top to bottom, so that may be the answer.

    Hot Water Tank

Sorry bster, don't know what you mean by 2 or 3 port valves. I know there are 2 valves, 1 for heating and 1 for hot water, but not sure if this is what you mean. The heating valve was replaced last year. Hot water valve must be 20 years old. Heating works fine.

    Hot Water Tank

Boiler was running for 45 minutes this morning, but hot water was nowhere near as hot as normal. Hot water tank was fairly hot at the top, but cold at the bottom. Is this normal or should whole tank be hot if no water is drawn from it? Have a condensing boiler, Gloworm. Central heating is...

    Reduction in Radiator heat.

When I have both hot water and heating turned on, there is a noticeable reduction in the level of heat from some of my rads. The rads heat back up when I turn the hot water off. I have a new Glowworm boiler and have been told it should be powerful enough to provide sufficient power for both...

    LOUD WHISTLING NOISE FROM BOILER/VENT

Thanks for your reply Agile. Previous British Gas engineer said the gas/air mix was factory pre set and could not be adjusted, but said he had tested it and it was ok. Could changing the pump have caused this problem. He did not drain the system when changing the pump, he isolated the supply...

    LOUD WHISTLING NOISE FROM BOILER/VENT

The heat exchanger has now been replaced and fan speed adjusted previously, but the whistling noise, like a wet finger on rim of a wine glass is still evident. This can be heard in the house and also whining out of the flue. The noise starts only when the heating is put on, not hot water. The...

    LOUD WHISTLING NOISE FROM BOILER/VENT

Thanks Gasgeezer British Gas have looked at and are convinced it is not the heat exchanger. Engineer said he had never heard the noise before and was going to contact Gloworm to ask if they have had this problem before. He said it was possible the boiler was trying to take the heat too...

    LOUD WHISTLING NOISE FROM BOILER/VENT

I have a Gloworm condensing boiler, 1 year old. Recent problems has resulted in a new pump fitted in the last 3 months and a powerflush due to sludge in system and loud banging etc. Apparently boiler installer didn't flush out system correctly. Powerflush done this week and heating much...
