The above is not a Sundial C plan.

    4 way fittings

Heating pipework (flow/return) are usually installed in close proximity to one another so it would be a tad difficult to use a cross tee, same applies with potable pipework (hot/cold), back in the day pipework was installed within notched joists so the use of a cross tee would foul the pipe...

    Is my timeswitch faulty?

If you took the above photo @ 5.07 am then the clock is correct. Assuming the photo was taken @ 17.07 then the clock is either 12 hours fast or 12 hours slow.

The overheat stat would activate on the Circulator (Janus) and interrupt the pilot light.

Unless the feed to WC has been taken from the cold feed to cylinder (teed off @ lowest point). The cylinder would be the direct type if coupled to a Janus. The CWSC is possibly slow to fill in which case the WC cistern ran the cylinder dry (no gravity circulation through the Janus).

Unvented pressure release into sink waste pipe - smelly

    combi v system

So you required a “full screen” in order to ‘clearly see’ that the manometer tube was connected to the burner pressure test point as opposed to the inlet/working pressure test point which is located to the left side of gas valve? Lol what a fool.

    combi v system

It clearly wasn’t “working pressure” but “burner pressure” that they were measuring on that Potterton Profile. The inlet/working pressure on that Potterton Profile would of also shown >21mb. Do you not know the difference between the burner pressure test point and inlet pressure test point on...

    combi v system

The working principle of the zero/1:1 governor does NOT “draw the gas through the pipe” as stated above. Fan pressure whether negative or positive acts upon a diaphragm (offset) and in turn regulates the volume of gas to burner/mixing chamber by bleeding-off pressure to the underside of working...

Fixitflav & hard-work clearly show their incompetence when discussing gas related topics. The YouTube video clearly shows the manometer measuring the gas burner pressure and not gas working/inlet pressure on the Potterton Profile boiler. The 3 bods in that video are a bunch of clowns (I...

    Soldering quality concern

Ball-ache when trying to insert a tool in order to remove a stuck DOC washer, the other being the seating is not visable. Magnetite/debri will collect on the seating causing a blockage when opening the DOC, considering a tool can’t be inserted in order to clear the blockage then.....

    Soldering quality concern

Absolute mess. Best place for that pipework is in the scrap bag. “Wiggle room”?...that’ll be a shed load of wiggle room required to straighten that atrocity.

    Intergas boiler

Sorry but I don’t understand the above. I don’t understand this either. What point are you trying to make? Replacing a pump that is not integral to boiler and/or clearing a system blockage is a moot point as to whether the appliance is safe to use or not. Advice on the installation of nest etc...

Greenstar ri on y plan ....nest Nest

Although the OP didn’t ask for an explanation on the working principal of the Y plan/Nest. Does the principal of the Sundial Y plan change when installing the Nest/Hive?

The above must be the worst explanation written on the working principal of a sundial Y plan system.
