    its no issue i can fit a casing and frame, I just didn't want to spend the money if it wasn't necessary that was all. Would you recommend a casing with a base as well or not?

    Might be a stupid question but... I’ve got a can of wickes flooring spray adhesive left over from when the carpet was fitted. i’m in the process of making an office and needed to glue wool felt to cork backing, would it be ok for this or would it ruin the felt or cork?

    What fixing for plasterboard ceiling?

    Hi, I'm looking at fitting a heavy pendant light, about 5-8kg...the fixing bar is long but doesnt span the 2 joists, so i'd fix into 1 joist but the other fixing would go into plaster. What would be the best type of fixing to use for this?

    ah right! I get you with that. i’ve just gone round all sockets this morning, taken them all off and fitted them back on again. Checked for loose wiring and sad to say i cant find anything obvious. i’ve worked out 4 out of the 17 sockets on that circuit are working and 13 aren’t

    that makes sense...i’ve just found out 1 socket thats in that circuit works, so surely it would mean that the next socket along is the fault?

    I’ve checked and all the neutrals are in the sockets, what about a faulty socket? or could it be that an earth has touched the socket box?
