Electric Convector Heater - Heat settings -Thermostat

Bully boy tactics, many of my replies have been removed by the the moderators, despite not being abusive, containing foul language, racism or political. It appears everyone else can express their opinion, denigrating my beliefs and understanding and imply I’m stupid but I can’t retort ...

Electric Convector Heater - Heat settings -Thermostat

Not expecting too much, expecting how it was described, such as “Adjustable thermostat control with easy-to-use dial” therefore regarding of its cheapness, that’s how it was described when new and although the link I posted is similar to my heaters, my heaters cost considerably more. If I was...

Electric Convector Heater - Heat settings -Thermostat

What do you think I’m using the heater for, one in my living room, other in my bedroom ! The heater’s heat settings do not respond to room temperature and it appears the heat setting operates via a timer rather than temperature.

Electric Convector Heater - Heat settings -Thermostat

Because the built in thermostat, doesn’t appear to be a thermostat, it keeps cycling the heat on and off regardless of the room temperature, which I’ve only recently discovered. I would much prefer the heater to warn the room to a comfortable temperature, then switch off when reached, and...

Electric Convector Heater - Heat settings -Thermostat

Yes, although now I’ve discovered how the heat settings actually operate, I’ll prefer to control the heaters by a heat detecting thermostat, rather than the built in faux thermostat.

Electric Convector Heater - Heat settings -Thermostat

Anyone know of a smart plug with a separate Thermostat, that can be affixed to the wall, which can communicate with the smart plug via Bluetooth or its own WiFi network, without the need for WiFi home broadband and without the need of a mobile app ?

Electric Convector Heater - Heat settings -Thermostat

Yeah, I was thinking of using a plug in thermostats, although one would expect a plug in thermostat to detect the room temperature and isolate power to heater when the actual and desired room temperature is reached !

Electric Convector Heater - Heat settings -Thermostat

I’m only expecting the description of product, such “Adjustable thermostat control with easy-to-use dial, which was similar in description to my heaters when bought, which I bought, rather than the less expensive model. that didn’t have thermostat control; My heaters was significantly more...

Electric Convector Heater - Heat settings -Thermostat

I have two 2000w free standing electric heaters, one in living, other in bedroom. Despite having a built in rotary control to adjust heat settings, described as a thermostat, I’ve only recently noticed that the heat settings, have no bearing to the room temperature reached ? I normally select...

Slngle outlet converted to double, suitable for fridge freezer and a washer dryer

Yeah, it’s my intention to use the existing double socket conversion, it only became a concern when I discovered it was originally a single socket, but it’s been like that for years and I’ve only ever used one outlet for the fridge freezer.

Slngle outlet converted to double, suitable for fridge freezer and a washer dryer

It’s already been fitted over the original single socket and onto a breeze block wall. The original single socket is recessed into the wall and would have been flush fitted, like all the other socket within the property There’s no need for it to be flush fitted, especially with the fridge...

Slngle outlet converted to double, suitable for fridge freezer and a washer dryer

ericmark, thanks for your very thorough reply. If I had not discovered the single socket had been converted to a double, I wouldn’t have posted my question on here and I would have used the sockets regardless. The electric heaters are 2000w and are very rarely used at the same time, there’s...

Slngle outlet converted to double, suitable for fridge freezer and a washer dryer

The single socket conversion to a double was fitted before I moved in and I never gave it a second thought. It has passed regular electrical test carried out by the Housing Association. I only discovered it had been converted to a double socket as the surface mount backplate was slightly...

Slngle outlet converted to double, suitable for fridge freezer and a washer dryer

I’ve recently discovered, that a single socket outlet in my kitchen, which I intend to plug a washer dryer into, which currently also supplies power to my fridge freezer, had been converted to a surface mount double socket, apparently the tenant before had separate under counter fridge &...

You and I know, you’re just nitpicking for the sake of providing a response. I made no reference to my time being valuable, although I’ve wasted far more time responding to unnecessary responses, including yours. Thread Closed.
