Is it reasonable to expect the joiner to measure the new worktop before they cut it or is it up to the customer to point out the new worktop is wider. ( hindsight is a wonderful thing) Additional questions do most joiners fit the worktop and sink or just the worktop. Thanks

I think he cut the hole for the sink and hadn’t taken into account the new one was wider than the existing and wanted some taking off the back before cutting the hole

Both 2 way valves was replaced last year, when you say put on permanently do you mean slide the lever and lock it in position , I will try that and a factory reset as well. I will ring Hive but all they will say is reset everything as thats what they have done all other times ive asked a question.

Hive system been working ok for a while but the last 2 days the hot water has been cold at 8pm for a shower even though the hot water schedule should have heated it up for 6pm to 7pm. Everything else seems ok. So apart from a factory reset and reprogram is there anything else I can do please. Thanks

Hi All I have 3 casement window all letting a draught in at the same place, the windows are 12 months old but cannot get the installers back. Can you advise how to adjust the window to seal the draught please. The side that is draughty isn't the one with the middle post attached. Thanks

Thanks all, it’s on the wall at the moment using the gripit fixings but any further issues I will need to cut out plasterboard and prefix using Brigadier’s method

Plastic covers well and truly stuck on won't move any direction , photo of underneath shows its a bolt into a plug so not unscrewed from underneath, might be a job for multitool to cut the plastic covers

no slots in the chrome , is it likely to have to strip the toilet down to get underneath to unscrew the fittings ?

Thanks All I have bought some Gripit wall plugs , GRIPIT PLASTERBOARD FIXINGS 20MM X 205MM 25 PACK (6621P) Screwfix I can get at least 2 in the wall and possibly 2 Fischer 6mm wall plugs and screws so hopefully it will be ok .

what does this mean please Id use a metal gun and ram in deep as you can. When dry cut back.
