Worcester Easy control thermostat question

Hi All
I'm having a Worcester 8000 Combi fitted this week and asked for Easy control thermostat to be fitted as well. Just been looking and am I right that the thermostat needs either a 2 wire back to the boiler or a power supply unit and cable to the stat from a socket. As it will be a nightmare to put a cable in back to the boiler and there's no socket where the thermostat is at present.

Cable from boiler, then to thermostat, plus power supply plugged in. Or are you not having the easy control adapter?

If it needs a cable back to the boiler I dont think it's going to work.
Easy control adapter - I think its a wireless module in the boiler instead on a 8000 model

Even if just the thermostat it will need to be connected to the boiler.
