Thanks appreciate the reply I have to admit I'm not a massive fan of them, just figured they'd be handier if they worked than not at all. One day plan to upgrade everything kitchen wise but probably not for some time, appreciate the help, thanks

    Timber framed houses

Thanks all, have asked this question in a few places and most say now days they don't have an issue with timber framed I guess my concern mostly was if that ever changed and lending became harder, therefore making it harder to sell. But the majority don't seem to think it's a big deal...

Should I get trickle vents added

Cheers all. Appreciate it. I'll keep my dehumidifier I use it for drying laundry as I don't have a tumble dryer and to remove excess moisture that would create drying inside. I stupidly didn't know you could have the windows slightly open while still locked, so I did this last night and this...

Shower plumbing, likely to cause problems?

Hi, I've added some photos. Not sure how clear they are, but basically when doing our house up, I think I hired the worst plumber imaginable and when we had tenants on our house before we moved in ourselves we had found out the initial plumber fitted the hot and cold tap the wrong way round...
