    Hi I am going to soundproof a party wall with soundblock plasterboard sheets before the plasterer comes in to skim all the walls. Can I just use dot and dab adhesive to stick the boards to flat bark artex painted with mid sheen emulsion ? Or do I need to further prep? Do you prime boards...

    had a quote for pva/ skim over artex, 10 foot sq living room and ceiling. Ceiling is comb effect, walls are bark but flattened. £375 does that seem reasonable these days ? Cheers

    when i was renting the property i had to get the gas fire serviced and the smoke wouldnt go up the chimney so i disconnected it. i moved back in and had the chimney swept, the sweep said the smoke was coming out of 2 chimney pots and not 1 so failed it.

    yes i tried gloves with the rubber bits stuck to them, got a good grip but wouldnt budge! wont heating them make them expand and get tighter? and tried running a pin around the edge along with wd40 ok ill keep trying thanks

    tried unscrewing the cap but it wont budge, sprayed wd40 on it etc used rubber grip gloves, but no good!!! any more suggestions?? i know now that they screw off as the ones on the basin unscrew easy enough. would the limescale stick them shut?

    hi, tried to get to the washer but couldnt work out which bit un screws, does the middle piece of the tap undo or do you turn the tap anti clockwise and keep turning til it comes off? cheers Andy
