Thanks! This morning, I sanded and dusted it and it adhered a lot better. I think I should sand every time before painting. I had thought I had cleaned the surface but maybe there was something that could only be removed with a sand. Thanks again.

Thank you for the reply. The paint is Bedec All Prime but I also experienced the same with an F&B paint. It would be strange that the paint should start dry in such a short time (30-50 secs) i.e between strokes. On the second stroke the brush was dragging it all off. I will give it a light sand...
