Yep it’s the combi instant 105e
Maybe I came across an older manual version as I’m now also looking at one with L:
“Check continuity of loop on A10 connector” —> Change PCB
What connector is this ?
Would you agree we are looking 90% likely at PCB fault ?
Worth digging the meter out &...
The manual troubleshooting takes me to section B which points to Pump or PCB.
Would I be correct to think that it can’t be pump just by the fact that I’m not seeing any of the diagnostics lights come up ?
Boiler seems dead other than the power LED being green.
Only power LED comes on and no others whether i hot water or heating demand.
No boiler sound sound on turning boiler on/off or on Heating/Water demand.
Selected only water as well as water/heating with no difference.
The heating is controlled by external timer thermostat.
Not tested voltages...
Fuse intact as power LED comes on. Unless you referring to fuse on pcb whock I haven’t checked
Other than power LED and analogue pressure dial pointing 1.5 no other display including flashing LEDs.
No sound from pump on switching on power to boiler or when demand from hot water or heating.
Just woke up to find the boiler is not switching on when heating or hot water demand is made. I tried power on/off the boiler and checked water pressure is at 1.5.
No signs leading up to this fault.
Strange thing is no flashing LED diags are being displayed.
Any ideas what is going on ...
I have managed to get hold of a multimeter.
Can someone please guide me on how to test the heating element.
I want to do one last check before concluding it’s the controller board.
So I managed to swap out the brushes and tested the machine without any improvement.
I basically tried to run the drain cycle as a test.
Than I disconnected the cables to the Heater and tested again without success - same beeps and start light flashing after some time.
I also tried the reset...
Managed to take out the motor and take a look at one of the brushes. Longer part of the angle is about 18mm long. See photo.
Im guessing it’s is worn down close to its limit but it could have been worse. I haven’t taken the other one out as I realised I will need to remember the angle for...
I will try that reset procedure again and if that fails I will look at the brushes next. The heating element isn’t very expensive to replace so I will consider changing that after checking the brushes out.
I’m wondering if it is faulty brushes or heating element why doesn’t the machine still...
Today I found the electrics in the kitchen had tripped and the washing machine stuck in mid cycle.
After resetting the electrics the washing machine would not continue with the cycle or perform any new cycle including drain.
From powering on, when I select any cycle the flashing Start LED stops...
