    Thanks guys for the comments and observations, i feel i know abit more on ovens now. So an update is that i tried cooking yesterday and... it worked fine. The oven is now warming up much faster than before. Once it reached the temperature it needed i didn't see the element getting hot again...

    Thanks for the reply Harry, The replacing element is 2300W, which is apparently compatible with the oven. I will try again later on when back home but i would say it definitely matches the colour of the grill element when heating up.

    Hi all, Thanks for the replies. I just called NEFF and explained the problem. The lady on the phone said that its normal for the element to glow when heating up and gave as an example the grill. Apparently that's what its supposed to do until it reaches the temperature it has to. I mentioned...

    The fan is spinning Learningspark. Bernard, that's what I am worried about. But it only glows when its heating up, similar to the grill, which is making me think that thats how its supposed to be. Hopefull thinking perhaps.
